Gacek, Tomáš ; Sovák, Libor (advisor) ; Oláh, Vladan (referee)
Title: Comparison of body composition and physical level of students of the Military Branch at FTVS UK at the beginning and at the end of their studies. Objective: To evaluate the results from the measurements of the members of the VO FTVS UK at CASRI, what changes occurred in terms of their physical performance and body composition in the beginning and in the end of their studies. Method: Paired t-test was used to analyze the data of members of the VO FTVS UK who successfully completed full-time undergraduate and graduate studies. These were data from 8 males (age 24,3±1,5; weight in kg 79,3±6,1; height in cm 179,5±5,8) and 1 female (age 24; weight in kg 66,9; height in cm 171) from measurements at CASRI, which tested physical level on a stepwise test (on a treadmill) and body composition on the TANITA MC-780. Results: Paired t-test analysis of the data confirmed a statistically significant difference in muscle mass gain (mean difference=3,14 kg; p=0,0007) at the end of the study. On the other hand, during the stepwise test, there was no statistically significant difference in final heart rate (mean difference=0,58; p=0,9394) or lactate levels (mean difference=0,66; p=0,1639). Based on this measurement, it can be concluded that there was no statistically significant deterioration in physical level...

Title: The effect of the menstrual cycle on performance in sports Objective: The aim of this study is to investigate the effect of the menstrual cycle on performance in sport using the results obtained from previous studies dealing with the effect of the menstrual cycle on performance in sport. Methods: This thesis was carried out as a systematic review. Sources of information were scientific articles and studies from the PubMed, Scopus, EBSCOhost and EBSCOhost databases and literature related to the influence of the menstrual cycle on sports performance. Results: A total of 45 studies were selected for this study (9 cross-sectional, 33 cohort and 3 intervention studies). A total of 3086 probands (2364 from cross-sectional, 644 from cohort and 78 from intervention studies) aged 18 to 35 years were included. Conclusion: In most cases, no effect of MC on sports performance was found. If any effect was observed, the worst phase of MC for performance appeared to be the mid-luteal phase, while the best was the follicular phase. Bártová, Veronika ; Kašpar, Ladislav (advisor) ; Suchý, Jiří (referee)
The purpose of the research part of this thesis is to determine and compare the level of physical abilities of athletes in the hammer throw and discus throw who are enrolled in the Sports Centre for Youth. The testing was conducted in November 2021 and 2022, and a total of 50 athletes in hammer throw and discus throw participated. The test battery consists of several tests that determine the level of speed, explosive strength, as well as endurance skills. The data are compared against the evaluation scale created by the Czech Athletic Association for the purpose of test evaluation. The results were also compared with each other to determine whether hammer throwers or discus throwers or athletes in the youth or junior category achieved a better level of movement abilities. The results of the research show that the vast majority of athletes achieve the average level of ability that was tested. The tests also showed that a relatively large percentage of competitors (around 20 %) from both hammer throwers and discus throwers exhibit a below average level of explosive strength lower limb abilities, which is confirmed to be important for performance in the throwing events, as demonstrated in the next section of the research. In the tests, the male discus throwers achieved a better level, while the result...
The evaluation of psysical ability of secondary school children among chosen Prague schools
Bláhová, Petra ; Panská, Šárka (advisor) ; Bunc, Václav (referee)
The work focuses on the evaluation of physical fitness of students, who are 12 and 13 years old. The main aim is to assess the physical fitness of students at general high school and primary school with sports classes. As a part of the thesis, standardized testing will be conducted using the UNIFITTEST (6-60) battery, and two modified tests with their own evaluation tables will be created. The results of the tests will be compared with standardized or modified tables and evaluated according to point standards. The survey will gather data regarding extracurricular physical activity, according to which a trained individual is identified. These individuals will be defined as those who train for at least 3 hours, twice a week. The survey will also collect basic anthropometric data for measuring BMI. All of these aspects were put into context and the results proved, that primary school sports classes achieved better results than general high school children in most tests. By comparing the statistical data, it was proven that although the results are different, the differences are inappreciable at the level of statistical significance.
